Vehicles Involved
Preliminary findings show a Mitsubishi and a Jeep collided. The impact was strong enough that both vehicles left the roadway onto the sidewalk.
Damage and Injury
One car overturned, demolished a traffic signal, and struck a pedestrian riding a bicycle. Seven people were injured, five of them seriously. Among the wounded were children aged 7 and 9. A 55‑year‑old pedestrian is in a very severe condition.
Emergency Response
Seven medical teams, several fire brigades, and police officers responded. They provided first‑aid on the scene and transported patients to hospitals.
Traffic Disruption
The intersection is completely closed. Police are directing traffic and setting detours around nearby streets. Drivers should expect significant delays until the clearance is finished.
