On Wednesday, January 21, around 3:30 PM, a serious accident occurred at the intersection of Krakowska Avenue (DW788) with Komornicka Street (DW726) in Tarczyn, resulting in one person being hospitalized.
Collision Sequence
The incident occurred at the intersection of Krakowska Avenue, where a Ford Focus was traveling from the direction of Grójec. While turning left onto Komornicka Street, the driver of the Ford Focus failed to yield the right of way to an approaching Ford Kuga from the Warsaw direction.
Emergency Response
After the collision, one of the Kuga vehicles was knocked off its course, hit energy-absorbing barriers, and then rolled over. The injured driver suffered head injuries and was transported to the hospital. Emergency services and police secured the accident site and conducted procedures.
Traffic Impact
As a result of the incident, provincial road 788 (so-called old DK7) was blocked in the direction of Grójec, causing significant traffic difficulties in the area of the intersection.
