Intense Storms Expected
Level II warnings anticipate heavy rainfall between 30 mm and 40 mm, wind gusts reaching 80 km/h, and localized hail. These conditions pose significant risks to life, health, and property.
Government Safety Alerts
The Government Security Centre (RCB) has sent alerts to residents in the Podlaskie region and specific districts of Warmian-Masurian, including Ełk, Giżycko, Gołdap, Olecko, Pisz, and Węgorzewo. Officials advise finding shelter and avoiding open spaces during the storm.
Expanded Weather Warnings
Level I warnings remain in effect for seven provinces, including Lublin, Świętokrzyskie, and parts of Warmian-Masurian, Mazowieckie, Łódź, Podkarpackie, and Lesser Poland. These alerts, valid from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Friday, predict 20–30 mm of rain and 70 km/h gusts.
Ongoing Heavy Rainfall
Separate Level I warnings for persistent heavy rain remain in force until Friday at 12:00 PM. Total rainfall is forecast to reach 30–40 mm, with moderate intensity reported in several locations.
