Sewer line construction on Wałowicka Street in Warsaw’s Włochy district will cause traffic disruptions for one month, starting April 28th.
Construction on Wałowicka Street to Last a Month
Construction of a sewer line on Wałowicka Street is scheduled to last one month. During this time, traffic will be prohibited between Potrzebna and Rejonowa streets.
Workers will close the street on Tuesday, April 28th.
Two Stages of Disruptions
On Tuesday, April 28th, utility workers will begin sewer construction on Wałowicka Street, closing the street between Potrzebna and Rejonowa at 9:00 AM. Residents’ access to their properties will be maintained where possible.
This phase of work will continue until Sunday, May 17th.
Expansion of Construction Zone
The construction zone will expand to include a section of the Rejonowa Street intersection on May 18th. Through traffic on Rejonowa Street will be prohibited; drivers from Nastrojowa and Nike streets will only be able to reach the construction site. From Wałowicka Street, drivers from Nastrojowa Street will be able to turn right or left onto Rejonowa Street.
Detour Routes and Parking Restrictions
Detour routes for both phases of construction have been designated via Potrzebna and Nastrojowa streets. Parking will be prohibited on Nastrojowa Street.
Work on Wałowicka Street is planned to be completed by May 27th.
Changes to Three Bus Lines
Bus lines 127, 129, and 228 will have altered routes during the construction. Buses on line 127 towards the Nowe Włochy loop and line 228 towards the Wierzbno Metro station will travel via Potrzebna Street. Buses on line 129 will operate in both directions via Potrzebna and Globusowa streets.
