Corpus Christi in Poland
Corpus Christi is one of the most important holidays in the Catholic Church. In Poland, the celebrations are accompanied by processions through parish streets.
Corpus Christi, or the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, is celebrated on the Thursday after the Feast of the Holy Trinity. In 2026, the holiday falls on June 4 and is a statutory non-working day in Poland. The most recognizable element of the celebrations are the Eucharistic processions that pass through parish streets. During these processions, believers stop at four altars where fragments of the Gospel are read. In many localities, decorations and carpets of flowers are also prepared.
