Polish politicians react to US and Israel’s push for Trump’s Nobel nomination as Sikorski sets conditions.

USA and Israel urge Polish parliament speaker

Correspondence supporting a Nobel Peace Prize for US President Donald Trump has been submitted to Poland’s Sejm. The initiative was launched by US House Speaker Mike Johnson and Israeli Knesset Speaker Amir Ohanna, who are seeking support from Polish Marshal Włodzimierz Czarzasty.

Czarzasty announced he will review the proposal and present his position to the public on Monday, February 2, at a press conference.

Sikorski willing to support nomination under conditions

During a conference with Luxembourg’s Foreign Minister, Polish Vice Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski stated: “If President Trump brings a just peace for Ukraine, then I will also sign such a nomination, because I have the right to do so.”

Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel added: “Russian attacks and bombings on Ukraine continue, but we can form a support committee if this conflict can be averted.”

Trump links Greenland demands to Nobel snub

Donald Trump believes he should receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his achievements in promoting world peace. Last week, it was reported that the US president connected his demands regarding Greenland with not receiving the Nobel Prize.

Trump wrote in a letter to Norway’s Prime Minister: “Considering that your country has decided not to award me the Nobel Peace Prize for preventing eight wars plus [Trump claims he prevented more than eight wars – ed.], I no longer feel obligated to think only about peace, although it will always be dominant, but I can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America.”
