Sikorski Disgusted by RBN Atmosphere, Calls It a ‘Media Circus’

Sikorski criticized President Duda for turning the National Security Council into a media circus, contrasting it with serious meetings under late President Kaczyński.

National Security Council Meeting

President Karol Nawrocki called a meeting for Wednesday at 14:00 to discuss topics including a loan taken by the government for the SAFE program and an invitation to the Council for Peace.

Controversy arises as MP Włodzimierz Skalik of Konfederacja Korony Polski is attending; he was the only one not to vote against the violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones in September. Also attending is BBN chief Sławomir Cenckiewicz, who, according to the ruling camp, currently lacks access to classified information.

RBN and the Włodzimierz Czarzasty Affair

The Chancellery announced that the meeting will also address “the circumstances of the eastern social and business contacts of Marshal of the Sejm Włodzimierz Czarzasty” in response to a “Gazeta Polska” publication about a Russian woman buying shares in a hotel company linked to the marshal. Czarzasty emphasizes the transaction was transparent, and no irregularities were found by the services.

In response, the marshal proposed that during the RBN meeting, points should include “clarifying the nature of President Karol Nawrocki’s contacts with pseudo-hooligan environments and individuals linked to organized crime” and “clarifying the president’s past work as a security guard at Grand Hotel Sopot”.
