Radosław Sikorski is a leading candidate to replace Marcin Kierwiński as secretary-general, with Jarosław Urbaniak as another contender.

Political analyst Prof. Olgierd Annusewicz suggests Sikorski could become prime minister if Tusk’s image becomes a liability. “Tusk wants to be prepared for such a move, though there’s no certainty he will execute it,” Annusewicz noted.
