Poland’s Foreign Minister Sikorski announced efforts to evacuate Polish citizens from the UAE, with approximately 100 planes expected to bring them to Warsaw.
Medical Flight to Oman
Minister Sikorski also updated on the situation of individuals requiring medical support. “We have gathered 57 people at this moment, of whom 55 are still in the Emirates and two are already in Oman,” he stated. Earlier, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the dispatch of a medical flight to Oman, with the plane expected to land in Oman within hours. Priority will be given to sick or health-threatened individuals.
Evacuation from Israel and Jordan Near Completion
Sikorski also reported that the evacuation of Poles from Israel and Jordan is nearing completion. “From both countries, several hundred people have been transported by land to Egypt through the border crossing in Aqaba with the help of our consuls,” the minister said. Airports in Egypt remain open.
