Former Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski advised against criticizing Poland over humanitarian missions during an appearance on TVN24’s “Fakty po Fakta,” discussing the Gaza Strip situation.
Possible Two-State Solution
On the topic of the Gaza Strip situation, Sikorski emphasized that Poland has consistently maintained the two-state solution and strongly criticized Israeli settlement activities on the West Bank.
Humanitarian Flotilla in Gaza
Sikorski commented on the Sumud Freedom Flotilla, stressing that the EU, including Poland, does not have the capacity to change the situation in Gaza. He warned against traveling to the region, stating that personal risk in Gaza and Israel could endanger Poland’s financial and diplomatic interests.
Polish Delegation’s Response
Global Movement to Gaza Poland, the Polish delegation participating in the flotilla, responded to Sikorski’s statement. They shared a social media post accusing him of abandoning Poland’s protection of its citizens during a humanitarian mission to Gaza during an earlier bombing incident.
