Six‑Hour Police Response Delay After Warsaw Collision

A collision between a Tesla and a Skoda on the Komitetu Obrony Robotników intersection on 27 October left both cars damaged and caused a six‑hour wait for police, authorities said.

Accident Details

A collision occurred at about 22:40 on 27 October at the intersection of Komitetu Obrony Robotników and Żwirki i Wigury in Warsaw. Two passenger cars were severely damaged, blocking part of the roadway, but no injuries were reported.

Cause of Collision

Witnesses say the Tesla driver forced the Skoda driver to yield, leading to the impact. During the incident traffic was impaired and both damaged vehicles remained on the road until the conclusion of police work.

Delayed Police Response

Reader‑submitted photographs taken at 03:30 still showed no police presence, while officers appeared in images taken around 05:00. It was determined that police arrived at the scene at approximately 04:00, meaning nearly six hours elapsed between the incident and the response. The Tesla driver was fined 3,000 PLN.

Police Investigation and Clearance

Policemen conducted a thorough investigation, inspected the damaged cars, and prepared collision documentation. Road‑traffic disruptions persisted until the vehicles were removed from the roadway.
