The SME Fund (Ideas Powered for Business) program, launched on February 2, is an initiative of the European Commission implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). It provides specific financial support for companies seeking to protect their trademarks, industrial designs, patents, or organize their intellectual property protection strategy.
Application Details and Demand
This year’s edition will continue until December 4 or until the funds are exhausted. Experience from previous years shows that the budget is typically depleted much earlier than the deadline.
Poland’s Strong Participation
Last year, Polish companies submitted 4,558 applications, ranking second in Europe, just behind Spain. This demonstrates that entrepreneurs are increasingly recognizing the business significance of intellectual property protection.
