Polish President Karol Nawrocki and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski were photographed smiling together at the UN General Assembly.
Przydacz reveals overheard conversation
Marcin Przydacz, head of the International Policy Bureau at the Presidential Chancellery, was part of Poland’s delegation at the recent UN General Assembly. He sat behind Nawrocki and Sikorski, including when the photo of them smiling was taken. Przydacz, a recent guest on Rymanowski Live, said he overheard part of their conversation before the photo was taken. “I heard something like ‘Donald Tusk,'” he said, suggesting Sikorski might have been making a joking remark about the former prime minister. However, he admitted he wasn’t fully aware of the details.
Nawrocki on relations with Sikorski
During a press conference on September 24, Nawrocki was asked about his relationship with Sikorski, especially in the context of their joint visit to the US. He emphasized that while they have differences, their shared responsibility to Poland and its candidates at the UN is a joint effort. “Despite our differences, we are able to represent Poland on the international stage,” he said, adding that internal disagreements are kept private.
Kosiniak-Kamysz calls photo a symbol of Poland
The photo of Nawrocki and Sikorski smiling together sparked significant interest, especially given their previously strained relationship. Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz commented on the image during a September 24 speech in the Sejm. He called it a “symbol of Poland,” highlighting that the country presents a united front abroad. “We may have differences, but this cooperation is necessary,” he said, acknowledging that some might prefer conflict over unity.
