On Monday, 3 November, around 13:00, emergency services received a report of a fire at a multi‑family building located at 2/4 Zagórna Street in the Śródmieście district. The blaze was markedly visible from a distance due to dense smoke rising from the roof.
Rapid Firefighting Response
Six firefighting crews from the JRG 3 and the Academy of Fire Fighting at Potocka Street, along with a commander from JRG 3 and the City Operational Group, were dispatched.
Fire Origin and Extinguishing
Responders found the fire originating from an electrical connection that supplied a nearby BTS mast belonging to a cellular network. The fire was quickly contained, and power lines feeding the installation were also found scorched.
Power Cut and Safety Outcomes
Authorized services disconnected the power supply, preventing further damage. No injuries were reported, but the incident caused damage to technical infrastructure and destroyed portions of the building’s façade and roof.
