According to the latest U.S. model, Poland can expect freezing temperatures and several centimeters of snow to cover various regions during the Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year holidays.
Long‑Term Winter Forecast
The portal twojapogoda.pl analyzed data from the newest U.S. CFS model. It shows that during this year’s Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and New Year holidays, Polish residents can expect cold conditions and snow.
Projected Snow Depths
Synoptic forecasters predict snow cover depths between 2 and 10 centimeters in many regions, while in some places it may reach 15–20 centimeters.
Early November Snowfall
Meteorologists anticipate snow as early as November 17, starting mainly in the southern fringes of Poland, per recent GFS and ECMWF updates.
Nighttime Temperatures Below Zero
Analyses show that from the beginning of the second half of the month, the country will receive colder air masses from Northern Europe and a westerly flow that brings a cooling front; maximum temperatures in most regions will not exceed 5°C, while nightly lows may drop below zero.
