Presidential Disagreement Revealed
Head of the President’s Office Paweł Szefernaker published a post on January 20 revealing that a meeting had taken place between Marcin Kierwiński and Karol Nawrocki at the request of the Ministry of Interior and Administration due to the situation in SOP.
President’s Authority Explained
“In this formation, a change in the position of commander requires the president’s consent. President Nawrocki did not agree to the dismissal of Gen. Radosław Jaworski from his full position,” Szefernaker informed.
MSWiA Makes Suspension Decision
The decision to suspend the head of SOP is made by the Ministry of Interior and Administration and does not require approval from the president. “In this situation, Minister Kierwiński takes full responsibility for the functioning of the formation and the safety of the most important people in the state,” wrote the head of the office.
