Speeding Mercedes Causes Multi-Vehicle Collision, Injuring Several

A runaway Mercedes crashed into vehicles at a pedestrian crossing in Tarczyn, Poland, around 4:30 PM, leaving four injured, two critically.

Initial Incident Report

A serious road accident involving multiple vehicles and pedestrians occurred around 4:30 PM on Krakow Avenue near Stępkowskiego Street in Tarczyn, Piaseczno County.

Four people were injured and transported to the hospital, including two in critical condition.

Collision Details

Preliminary findings indicate the Mercedes driver, traveling at high speed, collided with cars waiting at a pedestrian crossing to allow pedestrians to pass. The vehicles involved were reportedly a Peugeot, Seat, and Toyota.

Following the impact, the vehicles struck two pedestrians already on the crossing.

Rescue Operations

One injured person was trapped inside a vehicle. Firefighters used hydraulic equipment to extricate the victim and transfer them to paramedics.

Casualty and Medical Response

A total of eight people were involved in the incident, including two pedestrians. Four individuals—a pedestrian, two drivers, and a passenger—were taken to the hospital. Two remain in critical condition.

The most severely injured pedestrian was airlifted to the hospital by a Lotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe (LPR) helicopter, Ratownik 12.

Emergency Services and Investigation

Six fire crews, four medical teams, and the LPR Ratownik 12 helicopter crew were dispatched to the scene. The drivers involved in the accident were confirmed to be sober.

Police are conducting further investigations to determine the exact cause and circumstances of the accident. Krakow Avenue remains blocked in both directions during the operation.
