The collision occurred around 00:35 on the night of 4‑5 November on the Świętokrzyski Bridge, heading toward the city centre.
Vehicle Details
The damaged Mercedes – an AMG GT 63 S E Performance bearing Ukrainian registration plates – was valued at PLN 1.5 million. The Toyota, used for passenger transport, also sustained severe damage.
Accident Description
Initial investigations show the Mercedes was traveling at excessive speed, struck the Toyota first, and then both cars rebounded off energy‑absorbing barriers, remaining in motion for several hundred metres. The wreckage, with torn wheels and shattered bodywork, was scattered along roughly 200 metres of roadway.
Injuries and Medical Response
The Polish driver of the Toyota suffered a leg injury and was taken to hospital. The Ukrainian driver of the Mercedes, after completing on‑scene duties, voluntarily went to hospital. Both drivers were sober and fully licensed.
Emergency Response and Investigation
Firefighters (two units, ten officers), a medical rescue team, and police responded. Firefighters secured the area and assisted medical services. Police performed inspections, measurements, and documented the incident. During rescue and police measurements, the city‑centerbound direction was blocked. Further investigations will clarify all circumstances.
