Media personality Krzysztof Stanowski is suing politician Roman Giertych for defamation over controversial statements linking him to human traffickers and other figures.
Stanowski Initiates Legal Action
On Tuesday, February 18, Krzysztof Stanowski read a fragment of a letter allegedly sent to Roman Giertych by his attorneys, demanding an immediate cessation of actions violating personal rights. Stanowski emphasized that all accusations have their limits, including claims about sponsorship by human traffickers and links to Jeffrey Epstein and Vladimir Putin.
“I can engage in banter with Roman Giertych, and that may have its charm, but he has gone too far, and let the court decide whether one can go so far in Poland,” stated Stanowski.
Giertych’s Response
Giertych responded on the X platform, expressing surprise at the lawsuit and suggesting it was an overreaction to legitimate questions about Stanowski’s advertisers. “One good thing will come out of my grievance, that we will thoroughly analyze your advertisers, their criminal cases, and your ties with PiS,” wrote Giertych.
The politician also hinted at potentially exploring details of Stanowski’s visit to a go-go club, stating, “Do you think that in the process we will also have to explain all the circumstances of his stay in the Go-Go club?”
Previous Controversy
Last month, social media erupted after photos of Stanowski’s visit to a go-go club were published. Stanowski explained, “I was with colleagues, I was sitting in the main room and from time to time I was approached by staff, but I didn’t use any services. That’s the whole story.”
