“Stażowe” 2026: How to Get Your ZUS Certificate

ZUS doesn’t send certificates directly but notifies you when they’re ready on the eZUS portal.

ZUS Notification Process

ZUS does not send ready-made certificates directly in the content of email or SMS messages. When the response to your USP application appears on the eZUS portal (former PUE ZUS), you will be informed via notification.

You will receive a notification in both cases: when a certificate is issued and when a decision to refuse is issued.

How to Collect the Document on eZUS

To access the certificate, you must perform the following steps:

Information About Power of Attorney

If a representative acts on your behalf on the eZUS portal (in the role of “Insured”), they will see the response to the USP application first. The document will appear on their list of documents to be collected.

Note: If the representative does not collect the document within 14 days of receiving it, the system will automatically consider it delivered and after this period, the certificate will appear directly on your account on the list of documents to be collected.

You can check who has the right to act on your behalf by going to the [Settings] -> [Roles and permissions] tab and checking the [Granted permissions] field.

Periods Before 1999

Please note that the USP application is used to confirm periods recorded on the insured’s account (mainly after 1998). If you need confirmation of insurance periods before January 1, 1999, it may be necessary to submit an additional US-7 application.

In case of missing data in the system, ZUS may refuse to issue a certificate, which opens the way to file an application for explanatory proceedings (form POG) along with available paper documentation.
