President Karol Nawrocki addressed the crowds at the Warsaw Independence Day ceremony on 11 November. He warned that Poland must not become “a puppet or a parrot of foreign nations” and reminded citizens that Poland’s freedom and sovereignty are commitments to uphold.

Opposition Politicians Criticise Nawrocki’s Speech

Opposition MPs slammed the president’s address. Tomasz Trela labeled it a “political rally” and called Nawrocki an “abusive man,” while Dariusz Joński and Robert Kropiwnicki condemned the loud, unpatriotic tones of the speech. Zbigniew Konwiński added that “patriotism does not require shouting.”

Ruling Party Lauds the President’s Address

Supporters from the ruling party highlighted Nawrocki’s defense of national independence. Zbigniew Bogucki praised his message of “Poland first, Polish people first,” and Piotr Gliński called the speech “a nationalistic call that reaffirms Poland’s sovereignty.”
