Poland’s meteorological institute issued warnings for strong winds and cooler temperatures across much of the country this Sunday.
Wind Warnings Issued for Multiple Provinces
Warnings are in effect for the provinces of Warmian-Masurian, Lublin, Subcarpathian, Podlaskie, Mazovian, Lesser Poland, Łódź, Świętokrzyskie, and Kuyavian-Pomeranian, and partially in Silesian and Greater Poland provinces.
Wind Speeds Reach Up to 80 km/h
Wind gusts are expected to reach speeds of 70-80 km/h.
Cool and Rainy Sunday
A cold front is moving across Poland, bringing rainfall and cooler temperatures. Colder air is arriving from Northern Europe.
Temperature Drop Expected
Temperatures will range from 8-13°C. The warmest temperatures will be in the southwest – Lower Silesia, Greater Poland, and Lubusz Voivodeship.
Rain and Potential Snowfall
Rain will be heaviest in the east and northeast of the country. Snow and sleet are possible in places, particularly in the afternoon and in eastern regions.
Thunderstorm Development Possible
The development of storm clouds is also expected, with a small chance of thunder.
