The 57-year-old had been listed as missing for over five years. Slough police in England received a report about the Polish man’s disappearance in 2021. Before vanishing, the man, who had worked in the UK for six years, regularly contacted his family. His family reported him missing after his phone was off and he stopped responding.
Investigation Progress
The investigation’s conclusion was possible thanks to operational actions by officers from the Katowice Provincial Police Headquarters. At the end of 2022, officers from the criminal department of the Katowice Provincial Police contacted Thames Valley Police. Although murder was suspected, there was no evidence as the people with the man on the day he disappeared had already returned to Poland.
Arrests and Charges
In January 2023, police detained two residents of Bielsko-Biała – 25-year-old Kamila W. and 33-year-old Adrian N. During interrogations, they admitted they were witnesses to the crime in the UK. The prosecution charged them with failing to provide assistance, not informing law enforcement about a crime, helping to hide the body, and taking other actions aimed at obstructing proceedings. Both were arrested at the prosecution’s request and named the individuals responsible for the murder.
