On Sunday, June 7, the annual Thanksgiving Day celebration will feature a procession traveling from Piłsudski Square to the Temple of Divine Providence, causing significant traffic and parking disruptions across the city.
Procession Route and Schedule
The procession begins at Piłsudski Square at 7:50 AM. Pilgrims will travel through Królewska, Krakowskie Przedmieście, Nowy Świat, Aleje Ujazdowskie, Belwederska, Jana III Sobieskiego, and Aleja Rzeczypospolitej, with a scheduled stop at the church near Jana III Sobieskiego and Nałęczowska from 10:30 AM to 10:50 AM, arriving at the temple on Hlonda Street before noon.
Traffic and Public Transport Changes
Police will temporarily suspend traffic along the route as the procession passes. Bus lines 100, 108, 111, 116, 118, 127, 131, 166, 172, 180, 217, 503, 517, and 519 will be diverted to alternate routes.
Restrictions and Parking at the Temple
Hlonda Street will be closed between Aleja Rzeczypospolitej and Ledóchowska from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, including the adjacent bicycle path. Additional parking for pilgrims will be designated on Branickiego Street, where coaches may stop in the outer lanes between Ledóchowska and Aleja Rzeczypospolitej.
