Supporting Benefit 2026: Check New Payout Amounts After Indexation

Polish government announces new supporting benefit amounts for disabled adults, with minimum payouts rising to PLN 751.60 and maximum to PLN 4,133.60 by February 2026.

What is the Supporting Benefit and Who Qualifies?

The supporting benefit is a form of financial assistance directly provided to adults with disabilities. It is available after turning 18 and aims to increase independence and give beneficiaries real influence over how the funds are used. This solution differs from previous forms of support in several key aspects.

New Threshold from January 1, 2026

Eligibility for the supporting benefit depends on the so-called “level of need for support.” It is granted to those with levels between 70 and 100 points. In practice, individuals will qualify if they receive at least 70 points for the level of need for support in the decision of the provincial assessment team. Until the end of 2025, applications could only be submitted by individuals with higher scores. The current regulations close the implementation schedule of the law.

Supporting Benefit Amounts in 2026

The amount of the supporting benefit is not a fixed sum. It depends on the percentage of social pension and the level of need for support specified in points. The range of payouts is as follows: until February 28, 2026, the social pension amounts to PLN 1,878.91 gross. This means the lowest supporting benefit is PLN 751.60, while the highest is PLN 4,133.60.

Indexation of Supporting Benefit in March – How Much Will Payouts Increase?

Since the social pension undergoes annual indexation and will amount to PLN 1,978.49 gross from March, the supporting benefit will also be automatically increased. The exact amounts will be adjusted accordingly.

How to Obtain the Supporting Benefit? Step-by-Step Instructions

Obtaining the funds requires going through two stages: First, you must submit an application to the Provincial Team for Assessing Disability. The team evaluates the situation of the person with a disability and assigns a score on a scale from 0 to 100. After receiving a decision with a minimum of 70 points, you can submit an application for the supporting benefit payment to the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS). ZUS accepts applications exclusively online.

How to Submit a Supporting Benefit Application Online?

Applications are handled by ZUS from January 1, 2024, and can only be submitted electronically through the designated online portal.
