Police in Warsaw’s Bemowo district have arrested a suspect found with cash from Blik banking codes, drugs and tampered documents, facing up to ten years for burglary, forgery and drug offenses.
Police arrest in Bemowo district
Police from the Patrol and Intervention Department in Bemowo arrested a suspect for burglary. Initial findings reveal that the suspect broke into the victim’s bank account using Blik codes to steal money.
Cash, drugs and forged documents seized
Police observed a man near an ATM, nervously looking around, and suspected him of using Blik codes to withdraw money. They found him carrying nearly 10,000 PLN in cash—claimed to be from a side job—and seized drugs plus a partially erased document belonging to another person. The suspect was arrested and taken to the station.
Victim’s contact with suspect
During evidence collection, police interviewed the victim and clarified the incident. It turned out she had been giving Blik codes to what she believed was a legitimate seller, thinking she was purchasing goods via an online portal and paying with Blik.
Charges and potential sentence
After gathering evidence, the suspect was charged with burglary theft, document concealment, and drug possession. He is now under police supervision and faces up to ten years in prison under the criminal code.
