Following a manhunt after a woman was killed in Raszyn on May 7, the body of a 67-year-old man, suspected of the murder, was discovered in a cemetery in Prażmów.
Murder in Raszyn
On May 7, after 4:00 PM, a fatal incident occurred in a house on Mokrej Street in Raszyn. A woman of Vietnamese origin was killed, and her 67-year-old Polish partner, suspected of the crime, fled the scene immediately following the event.
The tragedy reportedly took place in front of children. Upon arrival, police officers provided immediate care to the minor witnesses found at the property.
Police Response and Manhunt
Large police forces were dispatched to the scene, and Mokrej Street was blocked to allow forensic technicians and experts to secure the area and collect evidence. A massive search operation was launched for the man who fled the scene.
The operation involved the Pruszków District Police, the Warsaw Metropolitan Police, the Warsaw Police Prevention Unit, and the Warsaw Counter-Terrorism Subunit. An alarm was declared for the entire Pruszków District Police Command following a 4:30 PM report to the Provincial Emergency Notification Center.
Discovery of the Suspect
The manhunt led authorities to a cemetery in Prażmów, where the 67-year-old man’s body was discovered around 8:00 PM. All indications suggest he was the individual suspected of the murder in Raszyn.
Investigators are currently working to establish all circumstances of the tragedy, including the specific events on Mokrej Street and the circumstances surrounding the man’s death in Prażmów.
