Suspect Remanded in Custody Following Murder of Homeless Woman

A 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the murder of a 34-year-old woman after police discovered her severely beaten in a vacant building on Szyszkowa Street in Warsaw.

Police Intervention and Arrest

Officers from the Warsaw Ursus precinct were notified last week that a man was seen punching and kicking a woman in an abandoned building on Szyszkowa Street. Upon arrival, police found the man alongside an unconscious, bloodied woman suffering from extensive injuries.

Medical assistance was provided immediately, and the victim was rushed to the hospital. The 37-year-old suspect was apprehended on-site and taken into police custody.

Fatal Injuries and Legal Proceedings

Despite medical efforts, the 34-year-old victim succumbed to her injuries on May 28. Following the collection of evidence, the Warsaw-Ochota District Prosecutor’s Office formally charged the suspect with murder.

The court granted the prosecutor’s request for a three-month remand. The suspect now faces a potential sentence of life imprisonment for the crime.
