Suspicious Object Discovered Near Heating Pipe in Warsaw’s Targówek

During earthworks on a lawn at the junction of Radzymińska and Rozwadowski streets in Warsaw’s Targówek, security forces found a suspicious device close to heating infrastructure, prompting a temporary street closure.

Discovery During Lawn Earthworks

While excavating a lawn at the intersection of Radzymińska and Rozwadowski streets, workers encountered an object resembling a projectile near a heating pipe in Warsaw’s Targówek district.

Police Response and Street Closure

Police received the report from the site workers, dispatched a patrol to the location, and immediately secured the area with tape and a road‑policing vehicle.

The police imposed a temporary blockade on Radzymińska street toward the direction of Marek to prevent bystanders from approaching until the dangerous object was contained.

Securing the Site

The police cordoned the discovery zone to keep the public out and ensure safety during the removal operations.

Neutralization Plan

Once secured, the device will be transported to a training ground where it will be destroyed in a controlled blast, following standard procedures for hazardous finds outside built‑up areas.
