A 31-year-old Tajik citizen was arrested at Warsaw-Modlin Airport for using a passport with forged documents and subsequently deported from Poland.
Arrest at Airport
Border Guard officers at Warsaw-Modlin Airport arrested a 31-year-old Tajik national during a routine check on passengers arriving from Barcelona. The standard control aimed to verify the legality of their entry and stay in Poland.
Forged Documents
The suspect presented a passport containing altered border control stamps for Poland and Lithuania, a Lithuanian visa, and a stamp from the Mazowieckie Voivode indicating an application for a temporary residence permit in Poland. All documents showed signs of unauthorized tampering.
Investigation and Confession
During questioning, the Tajik national stated he came to Poland to work as a driver. He admitted to paying 4,000 dollars to an Uzbek intermediary in Tashkent for the forged documents in his passport.
Legal Consequences
The Tajik citizen was charged under Article 270 § 1 of the Penal Code for forging documents for use as authentic. He was also fined 500 złoty for entering Poland without proper documentation. The man pleaded guilty and voluntarily agreed to a 6-month suspended prison sentence for two years.
Deportation Order
The individual was issued a decision for mandatory return with a 3-year ban on re-entering Poland and other Schengen countries. The Border Guard commander at Warsaw-Modlin applied to the District Court in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki for the man to be placed in a guarded center for foreigners until his departure from Poland.
