Tax Deregulation: Many Projects, Minimal Impact

Polish experts question tax deregulation effectiveness, noting numerous projects have failed to significantly improve business financial flow or reduce administrative burdens.

Experts Skeptical of Deregulation Results

According to Małgorzata Samborska, a tax advisor and partner at Grant Thornton, Poland’s tax system is so complex that even a relatively large number of changes will only marginally improve corporate financial flow and administrative burdens.

New Administrative Requirements Introduced

Simultaneously with deregulation projects, new administrative obligations are being introduced, such as those related to the National e-Invoice System (KSeF) or JPK_CIT.

Origins of Last Year’s Tax Deregulation

Last year’s tax deregulation initiative was launched by a team of entrepreneurs and experts under the leadership of Rafał Brzoski as part of the “SprawdzaMY – Inicjatywa Przedsiębiorców dla Polski” (We Check – Entrepreneurs’ Initiative for Poland) actions. The government later added its own proposals to the initiative.
