A 16-year-old was found dead near the tracks at the Ursus Niedźwiadek station in Warsaw on Sunday evening.
Emergency Response
Shortly after 6:00 PM, emergency services received a report of a person lying near the railway tracks at the Ursus Niedźwiadek station in Warsaw. Firefighters, paramedics, and police were dispatched to the scene.
Despite resuscitation efforts, the 16-year-old could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Incident Details
The incident occurred on Sunday in the area between the main line and the suburban line at the Ursus Niedźwiadek station. Two fire crews, two ambulance teams, and police officers were sent to the location.
A bystander, who was a medical professional, initiated rescue efforts before the arrival of emergency services, stopping an SKM train and retrieving an AED.
Investigation Underway
The area has been secured, and police are conducting further investigation under the supervision of the prosecutor. Investigators will determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy, including how the teenager ended up near the tracks.
Preliminary findings indicate the teenager was not struck by a train.
Traffic Disruptions
One track was blocked due to the emergency services’ operations, causing potential disruptions to rail traffic.

Due to an incident involving a person near the Warszawa Ursus Niedźwiadek stop, there are disruptions to traffic for all operators on the Warszawa Włochy – Pruszków section.
SKM line S1 trains in both directions may be delayed by more than 30 minutes. Additionally, the following trains have been cancelled:
Train 99352/3 from Warszawa Wawer (departure at 5:52 PM) to Pruszków, cancelled on the Warszawa Zachodnia – Pruszków section.
