The accident occurred on February 14th at Wola Bierwiecka station in Jedlińsk commune. Dominik was assisting a passenger with disembarking and carrying luggage when the train doors closed on his arm, pulling him between the train and the platform. A passenger activated the emergency brake.

Dominik was initially treated at the Specialist Hospital in Radom before being transferred to a hospital in Warsaw. His condition was initially critical, but his father reports daily improvements, though a full recovery will take time.
