A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized with a severe head injury on Saturday, April 11th, in Koszalin, Poland, after being struck by a farm tractor.
Farm Accident Injures Teenager
The incident occurred around 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 11th, on Polna Street in Koszalin. Preliminary police investigations indicate that a 56-year-old man operating a farm tractor did not ensure the area was clear before maneuvering.
As a result, the tractor struck the 16-year-old boy, causing a serious head injury. He was transported to the Provincial Hospital in Koszalin.
Police Investigation Underway
Police secured the accident site and conducted an investigation, collecting evidence and performing necessary procedures. The tractor driver underwent a sobriety test, which confirmed he was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
Case to be Referred to Court
The collected documentation will be submitted to the court for further proceedings against the 56-year-old man. The circumstances of the accident will be analyzed in detail.
Some reports indicated doctors were “fighting for the boy’s life,” but police stated the teenager sustained a severe head injury and was transported to the hospital.
