Teenager Pushes Friend in Shopping Trolley Across Street

A 17-year-old was spotted pushing a 21-year-old woman in a shopping trolley across a street in Płock, Poland, on March 10.

Incident Reported

A municipal monitoring operator spotted a young man pushing a shopping trolley across ul. Tysiąclecia in Płock with a woman inside at 11:20 PM on March 10.

Teenager’s Explanation

The 17-year-old explained to police that he was just fulfilling his 21-year-old friend’s whim, not attempting to steal the trolley. Both claimed they were unaware their behavior was inappropriate.

Legal Implications

They promised to return the trolley to the store, which is legally required as shopping trolleys are store property. Taking or abandoning them elsewhere is considered theft.

Safety Concern

Pushing a shopping trolley on the road is extremely dangerous, and police noted the quick reaction of the monitoring operator prevented potential traffic hazards.
