Threats Against Karol Nawrocki; Prosecutor’s New Findings: 19‑Year‑Old Admits Guilt

Prosecutors in Warsaw have imposed police supervision and a ban on approaching President Karol Nawrocki after a 19‑year‑old Polish citizen posted a threatening image of the president, admitting the crime and facing up to three years in prison.

Prosecutor’s Measures

The prosecutor imposed police supervision on the 19‑year‑old, combined with a prohibition on approaching President Karol Nawrocki and the President’s Office buildings. The restriction applies to sites on Krakowskie Przedmieście and the Belweder park‑palace complex in Warsaw.

Formal Complaint by State Protection Service

Prosecutor Piotr Skiba noted that the State Protection Service filed a formal notification. Consequently, later stages will involve questioning President Nawrocki as the victim and receiving a formal request for prosecution of the teenager.

Social‑Media Threat

The teenager posted on social media a photo of a weapon and the comment “do zobaczenia Karolku”. The image showed President Nawrocki with his son watching the Poland‑Netherlands match at the National Stadium. The post was deleted after internet users highlighted the threat.

Legal Consequences

The teenager faces up to three years in prison for the posted threat.
