Three Arrested in Half-Million Zloty BMW Burglary Case

Police arrested three suspects and recovered a BMW M3 worth half a million zloty after a series of burglaries.

Initial Investigation and Arrests

Operational police group ‘Kobra’ identified and subsequently detained individuals connected with the burglary of a BMW M3 worth half a million zloty. Three individuals were charged with the vehicle burglary and, at the request of the Warsaw-Praga Południe Regional Prosecutor’s Office, were temporarily arrested by court decision.

Police also secured a BMW in which parts from the stolen car were likely installed.

Car Rental Connection

Operatives from ‘Kobra’ worked for some time on the reported burglary of a BMW M3 worth 500,000 zloty. The car came from a rental agency and was stolen from under a disco.

Operational findings, obtained information, and checks made by police showed that individuals who rented and used the vehicle likely had a direct connection to this crime.

Discovery of Stolen Parts

Shortly thereafter, the owner of the stolen BMW, on a car sales portal, recognized in one of the car parts that, in his opinion, certainly came from his M3. Police from ‘Kobra’ also dealt with this.

They reached the location where this car was, arrested a 48-year-old, and secured the vehicle. Components indicated by the victim—wheels with tires, brake system components including calipers, steering wheel, rear spoiler—will be examined by experts.

Ongoing Investigation

If experts’ opinion confirms the suspicion that these are parts from the stolen BMW M3, the 33-year-old will be charged. The proceedings in this case are supervised by the Warsaw-Praga Południe Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
