Three Men Charged with Murder and Robbery at Ostrołęka Family Garden Estate

Three men have been charged with the murder and robbery of Jerzy Ż. at the Bemowo Family Garden Estate in Ostrołęka on the night of September 17‑18, 2024.

Accused Individuals and Charges

The Ostrołęka District Prosecutor’s Office filed an indictment against three men: Patryk R. (27), Mateusz G. (27), and Rafał K. (44). They are charged with murder combined with robbery from a motive deserving special condemnation. A fourth suspect, Wiesław G. (60), is charged with failing to render aid to a person in danger of death.

Circumstances on the Night of September 17‑18

The crime occurred on the night of September 17–18, 2024, within the Bemowo Family Garden Estate in Ostrołęka. Prosecutor’s spokesperson Elżbieta Edyta Łukasiewicz confirmed that the suspects were together with the victim, Jerzy Ż., in the estate that night.

Alleged Drug Use and Alcohol Consumption

According to the investigation, the men first met on Wiesław G.’s plot before moving to Ż.’s plot, where they drank alcohol. Patrik R., Mateusz G. and Rafał K. also reportedly used amphetamine that Mateusz had purchased earlier.

Robbery and Physical Assault

During the incident, Wiesław G. left Ż.’s plot while the other three agreed to take the victim’s valuable items. They stole a television, laptop, and an electric bike. When the victim realised the theft, a physical altercation erupted; the men violently struck him on the chest and arms, repeatedly punching and kicking him on the path between plots.

Murder Details and Witness Accounts

Investigators say the perpetrators disrobed Ż. and left him on the path between plots. At the time the men left the scene, the victim was still alive. Wiesław G. saw him but did not help. Footage shows that at about 9:30 p.m. on September 18, Anna Ż. discovered the body.

Prosecution’s Case and Potential Sentences

The collected evidence allows the prosecutor to charge the three men with murder with robbery under a motive deserving special condemnation. Patryk R. and Mateusz G. allegedly acted under recidivism, while Rafał K. was in a condition of limited sanity. Mateusz also faces drug‑related charges for supplying amphetamine. All defendants deny the allegations. Potential sentences for the murder range from 15 years to life imprisonment, with loss of civil rights; Wiesław G. faces up to three years for failing to provide aid.

Case Completion and Next Steps

The prosecutor’s office has concluded the preliminary investigation and has sent the indictment to the court. The case involves murder combined with robbery in the Ostrołęka garden estate, as well as drug and aid‑failure charges.
