Three Tajikistani citizens have been remanded in custody for three months following an assault at a Warsaw gas station.
Assault Details
The incident occurred before midnight on February 27, 2026, at a gas station on Wola, in the Solidarności Avenue area. An argument broke out among a group of people, which turned into an attack on a 36-year-old Tajikistani citizen. The three perpetrators used metal pipes, striking the victim in the head and causing serious bodily injury.
During the assault, one attacker allegedly struck a parked Lexus with a metal baton, damaging the vehicle. Shortly after, the same man struck another man with a metal pipe, causing a broken arm. The second perpetrator allegedly threatened this person with death.
Police Response
After the report, the Regional Commander of Police Warsaw IV declared an alarm for officers. Criminal department officers from the Wola precinct engaged in the case, supported by officers from the Metropolitan Police Headquarters, including departments to combat criminal terror and homicides, search and identification of persons, and criminal investigations. An investigative group with a criminal technician worked at the scene.
Arrest and Charges
Police analyzed the escape route and conducted operational investigations. Shortly after the incident, the suspects were located and arrested in Warsaw’s Wawr district. The detained individuals are Tajikistani citizens aged 24, 26, and 35. During the search, metal pipes used to cause injuries and the vehicle the perpetrators were using were secured.
The 24-year-old faces charges of beating with a dangerous instrument causing serious bodily harm; the 35-year-old faces charges of complicity in beating with a dangerous instrument and making criminal threats; and the 26-year-old faces charges of complicity in beating, property damage, and bodily injury for over seven days.
Legal Proceedings
The prosecution initiated the investigation, and the gathered evidence became the basis for presenting charges at the Regional Prosecutor’s Office Warsaw-Wola. At the request of this prosecutor’s office, the court decided to pre-trial detain all three suspects for three months. The proceedings are supervised by this prosecutor’s office.
