A 24-year-old driver’s overtaking maneuver caused a three-vehicle collision on the DK-60 in Gołymin early Sunday morning, resulting in two individuals being transported to the hospital for treatment.
Collision Details
Ciechanów police are investigating a traffic accident that occurred on June 2 at approximately 5:20 a.m. on the DK-60 in Gołymin. The incident involved an Iveco delivery van, a Daf truck, and a Mercedes passenger car.
Preliminary findings indicate that the 24-year-old driver of the Iveco, a resident of Płock County, attempted to overtake the Daf truck and collided with an oncoming Mercedes driven by a 67-year-old man from Sokołów County. Both the driver of the Mercedes and his 64-year-old passenger were transported to the hospital.
Post-Accident Investigation
The driver of the Daf truck, a 63-year-old from Białystok County, was also involved in the scene. Police confirmed that all drivers were sober. Officers from the Criminal Department have conducted site inspections and are now working to clarify the exact circumstances of the crash.

Authorities are urging drivers to exercise extreme caution, noting that haste and distraction can lead to tragic consequences. Given the morning fog that reduced visibility, police emphasized the necessity of adjusting speed and maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles.
