On Wednesday morning, police in Orzesze rescued an 18-month-old girl who was left unresponsive in a car by her mother while she visited a pharmacy.

On Wednesday, May 6, after 11:00 AM, Orzesze police responded to reports of a child inside a vehicle. Witnesses noted the girl had been there for an extended period, appearing unresponsive to noise or shouting.

Officers broke the car window to retrieve the child, who was likely sleeping and sustained no injuries. An ambulance crew provided medical assistance at the scene.

Investigation into Maternal Neglect

Police established that the mother left her 18-month-old daughter in the car to visit a pharmacy, as she did not want to wake the child. Authorities are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.

The mother faces potential legal consequences of up to three years in prison for exposing a person to immediate danger of loss of life or serious health impairment.
