Tomczyk Blames BBN Leader for Propaganda, Calls Him a Clown

Polish Defence Minister’s deputy Cezary Tomczyk denounced National Security Bureau head Sławomir Cenckiewicz in a TVN24 interview, accusing him of spreading lies and labeling the office a “clown bureau.”

Tomczyk’s Attack on Cenckiewicz

Tomczyk said that people are highly sensitive to falsity, hypocrisy and lies, especially regarding Cenckiewicz’s work, which he claims was calculated on lies aimed at Donald Tusk.

Critique of BBN’s Integrity

He argued that the bureau, which should represent the state head, behaves like a circus of clowns and called it the “Office of National Clownhood.”

Political Motivations Behind the Case

Tomczyk claimed the case against Tusk was a propaganda campaign designed to stop Tusk from winning the election, noting that Tusk won and became prime minister.

Commission Report on Russian Influence

A commission chaired by Cenckiewicz, established by the Sejm in August 2023 to investigate Russian influence, released a partial report in November 2023 recommending that high‑profile positions not go to individuals such as Tusk, Cichocki, Klich, Siemoniak or Sienkiewicz.

Removal of the Report

In January 2024 the report was removed from the Prime Minister’s Office website.
