A disabled 11-year-old boy died in a house fire in Greater Poland, according to the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Poznań.

At 14:38 on Friday, January 16, rescue services were dispatched to a residential fire in Myjomice, Kępno County, Greater Poland Voivodeship.

Victims and Aftermath

Before firefighters arrived, parents evacuated two children from the building. When a woman tried to rescue the 11-year-old boy who was on the attic, the fire intensified rapidly. Firefighters evacuated a 38-year-old woman and the boy from the building. Despite rescue efforts, the child died. The woman was transported to the hospital. Services will now investigate the circumstances and causes of the fire.
