Tragic Car-Truck Collision Kills 6-Year-Old, Injures Two; Road Blocked

Around 12:30 PM on National Road 60 in Bielsko (Płock County), at ul. Płocka, a tragic collision occurred between a passenger car and a truck. A helicopter from the Air Rescue Service landed at the scene, and the road was completely blocked.

Preliminary Findings

Police reports indicate that a 44-year-old Toyota driver, for unknown reasons, veered onto the opposite lane on a road curve and collided head-on with a DAF truck driven by a 50-year-old man. The truck driver was sober.

Casualties and Injuries

The Toyota driver and a passenger suffered serious injuries and were transported to the hospital. A young child was also in the vehicle. Despite resuscitation efforts, the child, approximately 6 years old, could not be saved.

Traffic Impact

National Road 60 was fully blocked near the accident site. A detour via the village of Zągoty was recommended. Authorities urged drivers to follow traffic police instructions and remain cautious, as disruptions may persist until 5:00 PM.

Investigation Underway

Emergency services are at the scene securing evidence and documenting the crash to determine precise causes. Police appealed for public cooperation with traffic management.
