A 22‑year‑old driver of a Mercedes struck a Toyota that then hit safety barriers, a streetlight, and a viaduct support; the Mercedes stalled against the tunnel wall.
Victims and Rescue
The Toyota carried a 62‑year‑old driver and two passengers, aged 31 and 66. All were trapped after the crash. Firefighters extricated the occupants; the 66‑year‑old showed no vital signs and was taken to hospital, where she later died. The 62‑year‑old and the 31‑year‑old received medical treatment at the same facility.
Alcohol Findings
