A passenger train struck bison at approximately 7:30 a.m. in Kraskowszczyzna, Hajnówka County. The train carried 52 passengers and three crew members. No one was injured.
According to Piotr Sienkiewicz, a brigadier engineer with the Hajnówka County State Fire Brigade, three bison died in the incident.
Rail Line Disruption
The Warsaw-Białystok railway line was temporarily blocked following the collision. Services resumed and the train continued its journey after 9:00 a.m., with no further disruptions reported.
