This morning, emergency services were dispatched at 9:37 AM to kilometer 177 of national road number 62 in Wygoda Smoszewska, Nowy Dwór County, due to a fallen tree. Upon arrival, firefighters found that a tree had damaged a passenger car, with branches penetrating the vehicle’s interior.

Despite the significant damage, no one was injured in the incident.

Emergency Response

Two fire departments responded to the scene, working to remove the tree and secure the area. National road number 62 was temporarily blocked during the operation.

The incident was one of many resulting from strong winds affecting the Mazowieckie Voivodeship. By noon, firefighters in the region had responded to over 660 incidents related to the passing weather front and strong gusts of wind.

The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) had identified strong winds as a major weather threat in its early April reports.
