Truck Collision on S7 Claims Life of 25-Year-Old Passenger

A crash involving two trucks on the S7 highway near Dąbek, Poland, on April 23rd resulted in the death of a 25-year-old Kazakh citizen.

Investigation into the S7 Collision Underway

Police and prosecutors in Mława are investigating a collision between two Daf trucks with trailers that occurred on the S7 highway heading towards Gdańsk, near Dąbek (Stupsk municipality).

The accident happened shortly after 2:00 AM. Preliminary investigations indicate both trucks were traveling in the right lane when the 24-year-old Uzbek driver of one truck collided with the trailer of the truck ahead.

Impact and Injuries

The impact caused significant damage to the cab of the first truck and a rupture in the partition wall of the second truck’s trailer. The second truck’s trailer, carrying a shipping container, detached and overturned onto the safety barriers and into a ditch.

The passenger in the first truck, a 25-year-old citizen of Kazakhstan, was critically injured and transported to the hospital in Ciechanów, where he later died despite rescue efforts. The driver of the first truck sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital in Mława.

Driver Status and Ongoing Investigation

The driver of the second truck, a 46-year-old Ukrainian citizen, was uninjured. Both drivers were confirmed to be sober. A detailed investigation into the cause and circumstances of the accident is ongoing, led by the Mława Police Department under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office.
