Truck Crash on DK50 Sends Driver and Passenger Ejected; Air Ambulance Deployed

A serious truck accident occurred on National Road 50 near Drwalew, Grójec County, Thursday around 2:30 PM, ejecting both the driver and passenger.

Truck Plunges into Ditch, Causing Ejection

A Renault truck was involved in a serious accident on National Road 50 in Drwalew, Grójec County, on Thursday around 2:30 PM. The road was initially fully blocked, then traffic was diverted to a single lane.

Preliminary findings indicate the truck driver veered into a ditch for unknown reasons, resulting in both the driver and passenger being ejected through the windshield.

Injuries and Medical Response

The truck driver was transported by road ambulance to the hospital in Radom. The passenger, sustaining severe injuries, was airlifted by the Lotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe (LPR) helicopter to a hospital in Warsaw.

A breathalyzer test confirmed the driver was not under the influence of alcohol.

Emergency Services at the Scene

Five fire departments, medical rescue teams, the LPR helicopter “Ratownik12” crew, and police were dispatched to the scene. Authorities are conducting further investigation to determine the cause of the accident.

Initially, National Road 50 was completely blocked, with detours organized by emergency services. Traffic is currently flowing in a single lane.
