On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, before 6 PM, a bus collided with a truck near a gas station on national road no. 2 in the village of Chromna (Zbuczyn commune, Siedlce county). The collision caused serious traffic disruptions on the outbound route towards Terespol and Siedlce.
Emergency Response
Emergency services were working at the scene. According to Capt. Daniel Czapski, press officer of the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Siedlce, the truck overturned completely blocking one lane of traffic. There were two people in the truck cabin, both of whom escaped on their own without requiring hospitalization.
Initial Findings
Preliminary findings indicate that the bus driver was exiting the gas station and turning left towards Terespol. Simultaneously, one truck was turning onto the station from the right lane, while another truck was traveling in the left lane towards Siedlce. The bus driver failed to yield to the approaching truck traveling towards Siedlce, which led to the collision.
Traffic Conditions
There are traffic disruptions at the accident site. The road is completely blocked, and due to the removal of damaged vehicles, it may take several hours. Drivers report difficult road conditions in the area due to black ice. The participants received medical assistance at the scene, with no serious injuries reported. Both drivers were sober, and the police continue their investigation.
